HIV

HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system. Everyone has CD4 cells, which are also known as T-cells; most people have a pretty moderate amount. Well the virus attacks these cells using them as powerhouses for replication of itself. Without proper treatment, over time the number of CD4 cells will decrease and the virus will grow stronger which can lead to AIDS, ultimately death. Lack of education on such a serious matter is the root of the problem and epidemic. People should know what they are up against; Children should not only know, but understand what is out there in the world before they choose to become sexually active.
