It began with girls in the woods
doing what was considered weird and unnatural, more so “Supernatural”. There
were cauldrons and broomsticks, spells and incantations, prayers and chants,
which all lead to the misconception of the age of witches and witchcraft.
People felt as if these acts were abnormal for the sane, and blasphemous in comparison
to the norm.

The Salem Witch Trials
The Salem witch
trials were a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused
of witchcraft in
colonial Massachusetts between February 1692 and May 1693. Thetrials resulted in the executions
of twenty people, most of them women.
The Salem witch trials occurred in colonial Massachusetts between
1692 and 1693. More than 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft—the
Devil's magic—and 20 were executed. Eventually, the colony admitted the trials
were a mistake and compensated the families of those convicted. Since then, the
story of the trials has become synonymous with paranoia and injustice, and it
continues to beguile the popular imagination more than 300 years later.

The Act AGAINST AIDS.
The act against AIDS:
Although HIV statistics remain painfully high, for
the first time scientists have begun to discuss the prospect of an AIDS-free
generation. There’s a targeted effort to treat every HIV-infected person and a
more strategic approach to investment. “The 21st century has ushered in a
golden age for global health. Treatment efficacy has reached new heights: now
is the time to end AIDS.” As you can see people are struggling but definetly getting closer to a cure.
The Walking Dead. (TV series)
When I first began to watch
the show, it began with Rick Grimes who is a former Sheriff's deputy who has
been in a coma for several months after being shot while on duty. When he
awakens he discovers that the world has been ravished by a zombie epidemic of
apocalyptic proportions, and that he seems to be the only person still alive.
After returning home to discover his wife and son missing, he heads for Atlanta
to search for his family. Narrowly escaping death at the hands of the zombies
on arrival in Atlanta he is aided by another survivor, Glenn, who takes Rick to
a camp outside the town. There Rick finds his wife Lori and his son, Carl,
along with his partner/best friend Shane and a small group of survivors who
struggle to fend off the zombie hordes; as well as competing with other
surviving groups who are prepared to do whatever it takes to survive in this
harsh new world...
Warm Bodies.
With much of the world's population now an
undead horde, R is a young and oddly introspective zombie. While fighting with
and feeding on a human scavenger party, R meets Julie and feels an urge to
protect her. What happens next is the beginning of a strangely warm
relationship that allows R to begin regaining his humanity. As this change
spreads through the local undead population like a virus, Julie and R
eventually have to face a larger issue when the very nature of their friendship
is challenged. Caught between the paranoid human forces and the ferocious
"Bonies", zombies who are a mutual threat, R and Julie must find a
way to bridge the differences of each side to fight for a better world no one
thought possible
HIV
HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system.
Everyone has CD4 cells, which are also known as T-cells; most people have a
pretty moderate amount. Well the virus attacks these cells using them as
powerhouses for replication of itself. Without proper treatment, over time the
number of CD4 cells will decrease and the virus will grow stronger which can
lead to AIDS, ultimately death. Lack of education on such a serious matter is
the root of the problem and epidemic. People should know what they are up
against; Children should not only know, but understand what is out there in the
world before they choose to become sexually active.
